A Gaming Smartphone, Almost Everyone's Dream

Although gaming in mobile phones was quite a hard way of gaming (you're forced to press small buttons and see the game on a less than 4-inch display, plus 8-bit quality sound). But, how about gaming in a smartphone, a phone that could be equipped with 1000 MHz ARM processor plus 512 MB of RAM, and a dedicated graphic unit plus sound unit, a 4-inch wide touchscreen display and a touchscreen controlled game to satisfy your gaming experience? It does sounds fun and it did, but how fun? See the video below as it demonstrates the future fusion of multimedia, games, and internet with smartphones. The video below demonstrates future Windows Mobile 7 (Not even a strip down version of Windows 7) handled a game with above 20 fps (COOL!!!) and it's also amazingly 3D (not the stereoscopy one). Check It Out!

Introducing: The PlayStation Move, A New Motion Controller

There's a new a motion controller called PlayStation Move, developed by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) (the maker of PlayStation) to compete with other motion controlled game console (Nintendo Wii and Microsoft's planned Project Natal). The motion was captured with a camera, called PlayStation Eye. It captures the colored and illuminated bulb as players hand coordination. There's also inertial sensors to detect the wand's motion. For more details watch the video below! Source: Engadget

NVIDIA GeForce 400 Series Is Just Coming Closer & Closer...

Good news for NVIDIA GPU lovers and fanboys, as the long ago delayed till now, the GeForce 400 series, was seen out in some places by sneaky spies and espionages. This time, someone caught a picture of NVIDIA GeForce 400 Series dies, placed neatly in a black colored tray. There's even a photo with a scale above the dies, measuring about more than 4 cm in width. Check for more photos on the below link!

HAH!!! Take That BlackBerry! Now Your US Users Are Moving For Other Smartphone, Take That!!!

There's a survey that shows 40% of US BlackBerry users is willing to trade their BlackBerry for an iPhone (I told ya, BlackBerry=Business\Executive, iPhone=Personal\Teen\Family?) and even more, 32% of BlackBerry users also willing to move to Nexus One (a good choice!). But, is Nexus One and iPhone really good? Well, for me Nexus One is good, but for iPhone, it's Apple, it's pricey... How would you prove both of them is great? According to the same survey, 90% of both of the phone's users didn't want to move out. Here's the survey's facts=
  • Total Test Users= 1000 people
  • Regular Phone (not smartphone)= 44% (some of these people pushed their phone efficiencies to the max... Nice job!!)
  • iPhone= 17%
  • BlackBerry= 15% (it's OK if they're lawyers, Barack Obama, or executives, but not household mothers and teens!!!)
  • Nokia= 10% (hoping some sales growth in 2010 with new Symbian platform
  • WinMo= 4% (I thought many people used this...)
  • Android= 3% (Nexus One, Motorola Droid, etc) (Relax, it's still growing)
  • Palm= 2% (Almost the same as BlackBerry..., business phones)
So, how about Indonesia? Just wait... (Hahahahaha!!!!!)

The 1st '.com' URL Went 25 Years Old On March 15

My God, you guys were Facebooking and Twitting all the time and didn't know that there's a legendary Top Level Domain out there, which was '.com', that just celebrates its 25th birthday on March 15th. Almost all company which has website was once depended on this domain. But now, it varies from .org to .net or anything you like. Then, what's the matter with Facebook and Twitter? Well, the domain '.com' starts the cultural style of the internet as nowadays all things that ended with '.com' was known as URL Links. So, if there's no '.com' there's no Facebook.com and changed into Facebook instead, without anything in its behind and not telling you that it's the website called Facebook. So, if you keep Twitting and Facebooking, ignoring facts that's happening around you, including your dying PC and neglected Friendster profile, you're a irresponsible 'thing'. Especially the one who bought Blackberry 'only' for Blackberry Messenger for a whopping $500 bucks. With $500, I could buy a PC or a Multimedia HP Netbook (for games before 2006...), rather than an expensive unfit for personal use business smartphone.

What A Great Technology Era We're Living In...

Technology changed from time to time, there's no limitation for technology to change and evolve, only economy and market condition which affects the growth of it. From the vintage 1950s Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) TVs to a whopping 42" 21st century LED LCD TV. From the earliest gaming video card from the (now defunct) 3dfx VooDoo to the most powerful (only now, will be beaten by Nvidia GeForce 400 Series soon...) ATI Radeon HD 5970. What a wonderful technology, isn't it? So wonderful that a museum in Jakarta, which was Jakarta History Museum (Fatahillah Museum/Batavia Museum), was being used for an art creation using video projectors to project images to the front of the museum. There's a video...

Wonderful? No? Is it because it's too long and the camera was quite shaky? It's not my fault anyway...
(thanks for Yahoo! Indonesia this time for featuring the news at the front page and the guy who's shooting this film)
