The Neglected Blog, Poor Guy...

Gosh, I've neglected this blog for almost 2 months already! You must have waiting for some news about the new iPhone 4G from here, well, I'm not interested in Apple products though...

(an iPhone 4 picture from Apple's international website)

But I just wanna say that last updates about my new Nokia 5630 was canceled due to stock availability in my region. I'm forced by situation to buy a Nokia X3, a well made phone with plastic casing (sounds like a lowered quality, and it's not really lighter than my 5310, its heavier because it's a slide), it has the standard three special music buttons on the left side like my previous Nokia 5310, and surprisingly has the same type of battery with Nokia 5310.

(My Nokia X3 screenshots)

I also got a number for it, it's ****-8310-8068, the first "8310" sounds like remembering the lost Nokia 5310, while the "8068" is what I like, it sounds like Intel 8086, which was the first processor to have x86 structure inside. My experience of using this phone? Well, it's a bit pricey to have than a Nokia 5630, but it's worth it because we got budded earphones (high-quality bass!), a newly designed S40 interface (almost like S60, but still felt S40 in some conditions) and a better processor than the 5310 ( H.264 video encoding just got better).

Well, I dunno when I'll update this blog again, I've my Facebook profile, playing My Empire, Restaurant City and Hotel City. I've also recently used Google Chrome to play Facebook (its games are a bit incompatible with Opera), I admit it's better now than the BETA version, it's fast (the gameplay or processing speed, not network speed!) because it's designed as a multi-threaded application (better execution for dual-core processors, still doesn't really effect for Intel Atoms...). I've to end this now, Bye!

Microsoft Is Still Better Than Apple

Despite its outraging monopoly in the past (now it's started to be defeated by Mozilla, Google and Apple) Microsoft was still better in many ways. First, it has the best PC game compatibility as most people used Windows OS series, so game designers made them mostly for Windows OS. Second, it could change OS in a PC, whereas Apple PCs could only be installed with Apple Mac OS, except some porting and hacking processes. The third one was that Apple's products was always more expensive than PCs and competing products.

The video below describes how many people chooses Windows over Mac made by a guy named Leon Wang. In this video, it's illustrated by a Terminator which asks for a dollar not to buy a beverage, but to charge himself from a nearby charger vending machine. How's next? Just watch. (thanks Engadget for the news of the video and the guy making this video and so on)

HP Slate: Killed?

Last month iPad was finally released, it brings people advantages and disadvantages. iPad was one of Apple's gadgets that's made to either surf the web, E-Book Reader or a handheld game console like iPod Touch. Before the launch, rumor has it, that it might have a camera for video conference. Weirdly, it's not included like its smaller variant iPod Touch and iPhone. Critics also said it just looks like a flattened and widened iPhone and strips the camera.

Due to the tablets started to be introduced, HP started to create its own tablet, named the HP Slate. The ads was interesting, as it does Flash (which was rare for handheld devices at the time) and it could also do some functions that iPad could do. The most important thing was, it's Windows variant, a newly brewed Windows 7 by Microsoft that's already planned before to compensate the use of touchscreens with larger touchable buttons. HP Slate brings hope to Windows lovers and users of a good designed tablet.

Microsoft Courier, from Gizmodo

But, as Microsoft has just killed its tablet project called Courier (I didn't know anything about it, it's only a two sided touchscreen, like two iPads stick together side-to-side), rumor has it, that HP Slate was also going to be killed. It may be caused by the low interest of users using tablets as they're heavy to be carried on every time but also too portable to be sitting at home. The market of tablet was actually started 10 years ago, its disadvantages kills 'em time by time as popularity decreases. So, will the tablets again ended with disappointing result? Just wait...

(>_<) No Phone Till Today !?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

P.S.: My God.... My phone was nowhere to found in Jakarta, all phone shops said 'kosong', means empty which actually means zero stock. There's one store which has it, but it's red colored, mine is silver. Causes, BlackBerry is one of the causes which Nokia started to withdrew from Indonesia's middle-class market. But, at least, it has to stock its phone as listed on the website. Even the Nokia center also said that there's no stock for that phone, with unknown reasons from the 'warehouse'. If it's unavailable, fine, I'll choose another phone. But please, don't hang it around in the website if it's unavailable!

Fight Against Obesity In The Future!

Hi there! Long time no blogging for me, huh? Well, from the last post I already said, these days are bad days for me. Maybe it's because it's the Year of Tiger, so it threatens me as I'm a Pig in Chinese Zodiac (rumor has it, Tiger eats Pig, get it?).So, I've to be patient this year. Also, due to the lost of my lovely slim and fully featured handphone, the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic, I'm going to buy a new phone, seriously immediately. 'Cuz I'm stuck with a shitty phone (sorry for the word) as it's so bad that when you've just made a phone call, the batteries dropped 50%, forcing you not to make any phone call anymore. The speaker also low in volume and quality, forcing my ears to stick with the handset and came with a temporary ear deafness after the phone call. Forget about MP3 or video playbacks, it doesn't even have a headset jack!

As from the last post, I've updated it and the new decided phone was Nokia 5630 XpressMusic (yet another XpressMusic!). It only lacks QWERTY Keyboard, but almost costs half than its QWERTY counterparts, the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic (sorry, I'll prefer to stick with Nokia XpressMusic Line). But, there are couples of phones, with the same features and it has touchscreen! (Yeah, Touchscreen, what so special?). IMHO (In My Humble Opinion), touchscreen needs to be perfected even more to reach the reliability and solidness of user interface, as some touchscreen always need calibration, will cracked easily if dropped several times (remember the 5310 nostalgia from the last post, the 'Torture part'?) and I still prefer styluses over dirty fingers for solid interface and maybe handwriting recognition in the future (it draws too!).

So, to match the title of the post, I've actually found a video and the post containing it (from Engadget, many thanks) about the new one-wheeled transporter Honda U3-X which uses gyros like Segway PTs to control the balance of its loads, which was currently human. But, the disadvantage was, if future was filled by these human transporters, then, why we need legs? To kick balls? To stump cockroaches? Hey, it's for walking, jogging, and running.

A Segway PT, from Wikipedia
Cars are meant to be built to transport humans for long distances, not for short distances like from your bedroom to the outside garden. But, even with cars aboard, people may become lazy to walk as cars have air conditioning and FM Radio if you like to. But thanks to traffic jams, people sees cars as convenient way of travel, if without the traffic jams, so some of them used bikes to commute. Again, but, if these transporters is made in the future, people around the world might have a gain in weight for a short time. Because they don't use legs anymore. They used it only for walking from door to bedroom. Bikes will disappear from countries, except India maybe... and displayed in museum with the word displayed "this bike was currently replaced by Segways and others for convenience to this world". Convenience is good, but it's no longer convenience if you keep gaining weight. So exercise from now on, ride bikes for exercises and move away from your computer (except you're using treadmill in front of it). It's for your better future.

If you're BlackBerry user and not an executive at the same time, keep using it as your friends told you to. As your friends told you to. As your friends told you to. As your friends told you to. You're told by your friends to use Blackberries? Stupid! Be free to choose your 'own' handphone choice, not being forced by friends only for using BlackBerry Messenger and costs $400 plus a gain of 100 gr from previous phone. Just see how would you use the phone. Just see how would you use the phone. Just see how would you use the phone, hahaha!!!

UPDATE: Now what! A rare availability of the both Nokia 5630 and Nokia 5730 at the same time in Jakarta? What do you want BlackBerry? Creating heavy useless bricks of phones for the future? It's you who made Nokia sales dropped a lot that availability was rare!!! F*ck you BlackBerry!!! (sorry for the word, cuz I really hate 'em!)

Horribilis Days! These Days Are Bad....

Rest In Nowhere
Nokia 5310 Xpressmusic
Mid 2009 - 16th April 2010
With Phone no. 081932325***

Oh.... My God..... So many trenches and rocks in my life nowadays, from 'something that's quite sad' that I can't tell you because it's personal, to the loss of my beloved and tortured workhorse handphone, Nokia 5310 Xpressmusic, a slim and light, specially designed for music, black colored phone. I loved this phone so much that I'm willing to reward the one who found my phone. I've also prayed to God to help me to find the phone these days, but resulted nothing till today although still hoping...

The phone has already tortured for about ~10 months. First, it had some water droplets on its body, test success from not being electrocuted. Then, falling from about 1,5 meters above ceramic tile and flown away from centrifugal forces, test succeeded, although when dropped for the 8th time, the left case cover was half-opened due to heavy forces. The phone is a daredevil for me, as surviving those events and also a daily workhorse (digital lifestyle? Music, Video, Phone, SMS, Photo, Games, Archiving, Notes, what else?), it's one of the best phones I've ever seen, due to its lightness, design and capabilities at low cost. A dream phone? I think so.

Now, I've to search a future replacement of this phone at $200 price. It must have a camera, music buttons and FM Radio, a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, screen about 2-inch, a keypad(no touchscreen!) and it must be Nokia (Sorry, but I prefer to stick with Nokia). If could, I wanted QWERTY Keyboard (again, no touchscreen!), internet over WLAN, a GPS, or etc. But I just couldn't found it in Nokia phone finder. What a sad day...

Well, I've just to wait for someone to find my phone in a location that I believed was said to be 'searched' before, but maybe they're just not careful enough. God bless me.

Anyway, sorry for the 'Long time no blogging' as these days are hard for me, I've also had multiple tests last week, so it's a busy day for me.
