And the reasons are quite shocking but true and sensible. They lacked almost 25% of normal desktops, laptops, or even netbooks would have. The UI (User Interface), especially Windows XP (don't even think about that even worse and slower Vista to fit in a tablet!), which has small buttons, was hard to be touched by fingers, especially for the capacitive-type touchscreen.
